About me
I’m a Mexican-born cinematographer, and I firmly believe in the power of the moving image as a profound tool for knowing myself and others. For me, film isn’t just a medium—it’s a way to reimagine the world, explore its complexities, and give shape to the dreams and realities we all carry inside. Through every frame, I see an opportunity to understand more deeply what it means to dream and live in this world, and to connect with others in ways that words alone cannot.
I completed my studies at the National Film Arts School (ENAC) at UNAM. I have lensed a variety of narrative fiction and documentary projects, including The Broken Skateboard by Arturo Santana, which premiered at the 2023 Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), The Smoking Mountain by Uriel Tlamaxco, a co-production between Mexico and the United States with a national premiere at Purchase College at Lincoln Center in New York, and my own short film as director, No Seré la Vida de Mi Recuerdo, which was nominated for an Ariel Award in 2021.
Currently, I am working on the color grading for my latest documentary, Sonido Brisas, directed by Selma Cervantes, and finishing post-production on Carmen by Uriel Tlamaxco and Cráter by Pamela Almanza, which are set to premiere this year. I was recently accepted into Berlinale's Guadalajara Talents Program and am preparing several projects that emerged from this experience.
I am a proud member of the female cinematographer collective Apertura DOP, the Mexican Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences, and represented by the 9AM agency in Mexico.
